TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - Tucson Police detectives are investigating a double shooting at a home near Stella & Kolb in the 3400 block of south Birch Avenue.
Sgt. Matt Ronstadt said they responded around 5 p.m. Friday afternoon and found a man and a woman dead inside the home. Both victims had trauma from a gunshot wound and were pronounced dead by emergency crews.
"There is no information at this point that suggests that this is something other than a suicide-homicide situation," said Sgt. Ronstadt.
9 On Your Side asked police if anyone else was inside the home at the time of the shootings.
"There is a young child approximately one-year-old who was inside the home. The child was found uninjured," answered Sgt. Ronstadt.
Tucson Police say the two found dead have been identified as 40-year-old Misty Gale, and 38-year-old Thad Hall Jr., both of Tucson. Investigators say Hall Jr. shot Gale, who was his girlfriend, and then turned the gun on himself.
