Border Patrol agents seize ATVs and 2,600 lbs of pot

TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - Border Patrol Agents in southern Arizona seized 2,600 pounds of pot and two all-terrain vehicles in two drug smuggling incidents.

Agents responded on Friday morning and discovered an abandoned vehicle concealed in the brush with 90 bundles of marijuana inside.

On Friday afternoon agents seized two ATV's concealed with camouflage and 724 pounds of marijuana strapped to the vehicles. One of the ATV's was stolen and that vehicle was later turned over to the Pima County Sheriff's Office for processing.

In total the seizures combined held an estimated street value of $1.3 million. No smugglers were captured in Friday's operation.
