Tucson City Council fires City Manager Mike Letcher

TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - In a unanimous decision this afternoon by the Tucson City Council, city manager Mike Letcher has been fired with an effective date of this Friday, September 9th 2011.
The vote came down after Letcher yesterday announced that he was planning to resign almost a year from this week.
Letcher has been under fire recently for his handling of 9-1-1 center issues and the missing Parkwise money.
