Quartzsite mayor recalled

QUARTZSITE, Ariz. (AP) - Political feuding in the tiny town of Quartzsite cost the town's mayor his job.
Voters Tuesday cast ballots recalling Mayor Ed Foster. Former Town Council member Jose Lizarraga will take over the office.
The La Paz County Elections Department reports 574 voters cast ballots. Lizarraga earned 53% of the votes, and Foster 43%.
The recall follows months of bitter feuding after Foster accused other town leaders of abusing their power and violating the state's open meetings laws. The Arizona Attorney General's office is investigating those claims.
