Two Fort Huachuca soldiers receive awards

SIERRA VISTA, Ariz. (KGUN9-TV) - Two Fort Huachuca soldiers received top awards at a recent competition in Chesapeake Virginia.
Army Staff Sergeant's Jennifer Butka and Abel Huerta III received awards at the competition for the U.S. Army Training & Doctrine Command.
SSgt. Jennifer Butka was named the TRADOC non nomissioned officer of the year, she currently serves in the HQ of the U.S. Army Center of Excellence helping soldiers manage their careers at the fort. "I believe I was confident and did the best I could. It's all I could do, I was confident in my answers and the information that I knew" said SSgt. Butka, speaking of the competition.
SSgt. Abel Huerta III was named the TRADOC career counselor of the year. He currently serves as a career counselor with the 111th Military Intelligence Brigage. SSgt. Huerta III says he enjoys being in the role he is in because of the impact he has on the families of different backgrounds and military specialties.
SSgt. Huerta is preparing for another competition to take place early next year.
