Two Sierra Vista men killed at party, arrest made

SIERRA VISTA, Ariz. (KGUN9-TV) - Sierra Vista Police have arrested Taylor Wayne Phillips, 19, in connection with a stabbing that led to the death of two men.

Carol Capas, a spokesperson with the Cochise County Sheriff Department tells KGUN9 that on Aug. 6, Cochise County received a call in reference to a fight in progress at a residence in the 4500 block of Cooper Street south of Sierra Vista.  The first call was followed by a second call advising of a stabbing that had occurred at the same address.

When deputies arrived on scene, they located a 22-year-old male suffering from chest wounds.  A 23-year-old male also was wounded in the chest.  Both men were transported to the Sierra Vista Regional Health Care Center where they were pronounced deceased.  A third victim was a 22-year-old male who suffered a facial wound.

Witnesses at the scene advised that there was a party at the home with an unknown number of people in attendance when a fight broke out.

Phillips has been charged with three count of aggravated assault, two counts of attempted murder.

The investigation is still on-going by the Cochise County Sheriff.
