PIMA COUNTY, Ariz. (KGUN9-TV) - One person was examined by paramedics after nearly being struck by lightning generated by an afternoon thunderstorm.
Tracy Koslowski with the Drexel Heights Fire District says that they responded to a neighborhood in Southwest Tucson near Cardinal & Los Reales around 2:45 p.m. Thursday afternoon for the reported strike. The woman called 9-1-1 and declined to be taken to the hospital.
Lightning is also the likely cause of a fire at a home in Green Valley.
