TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - A San Tan Valley boy is in a Phoenix hospital after he severed three fingers in a lawn mower accident.
Emergency crews responded around 4:15 p.m. Thursday afternoon to the home in the 2200 block of West Hayden Peak Drive.
Deputies found the severed fingers and placed them on ice. A medical helicopter transported the boy to the hospital and surgeons will attempt to reattach his fingers.
Authorities say the boy was home alone. His parents were notified and were headed to the hospital.
