TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) – A female driver was rescued by a Border Patrol agent from the Casa Grande Station after her automobile rolled over on Interstate 10.

According to a press release from the U.S. Customs and Border Protection, the Border Patrol agent was heading east while he witnessed the vehicle tipped on the passenger side. Immediately, he pulled off the road to investigate the situation. He then realized that the fuel tank had been leaking, the engine was idling and a woman was trapped alone inside her vehicle.

Two military personnel (in uniform) also pulled off to assist. The agents and military men used a steel baton and a crowbar to shatter the windshield in order to shut off the engine and rescue the trapped driver.

Shortly after, the Arizona Department of Public Safety and Marana Fire Department crew arrived to provide medical assistance to the driver.

As a result of the incident, the lone occupant faced minor abrasions and a minor headache.
