PHOENIX (AP) - Two Phoenix police officers were shot during a confrontation with a suspect who also sustained injuries.

Phoenix fire Capt. Troy Caskey told the Associated Press that two officers were taken to local hospitals around 10:30 a.m. Thursday with non-life-threatening injuries.

Caskey says one officer was grazed by a bullet in the head, while the other was shot in the arm.

The suspect involved in the shooting, a man in his mid-30s, was taken to the hospital with life-threatening wounds from being shot by police.
