NEW YORK (AP) — The world has only begun to learn about Rep. Gabrielle Giffords.
The Arizona Democrat and her husband, astronaut and Navy captain Mark Kelly, announced Tuesday that they have a deal for a joint memoir that will include the tragic Jan. 8 shooting in Tucson, Ariz. The book is currently untitled and will be released by Scribner at a date to be determined. Kelly and Giffords will collaborate with Jeffrey Zaslow, best known for his work on Randy Pausch's million-selling "The Last Lecture."
Kelly also announced on Tuesday his retirement from the Navy and NASA, effective Oct. 1.
