Police investigating suspicious death

TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - Tucson Police are investigating a suspicious death after a welfare check led to the discovery of an elderly male.
Matt Ronstadt, a spokesperson with the Tucson Police Department tells KGUN9 the body of an elderly male was found at a home near the 2400 block of North Ironwood Ridge Drive.
A woman from out of state called for a welfare check on her father. She had not heard from him in several days. Officer responded to the home and found the body of a deceased male. There are no initial indications of foul play, said Ronstadt.
The state of decomposition is too advanced to make visual identification of the deceased, or to observe signs of external trauma. An autopsy of the adult male is pending.
Police urge anyone with information about this case to contact 911 or 88-CRIME.
