The Tucson Unified School District board discussed major action items on their agenda Tuesday night.
First, the board finalized TUSD Superintendent Dr. Gabriel Trujillo's contract. He will be making an annual salary of $200,000 with potential for a performance pay bonus of $5,000. His contract period begins tomorrow and ends June 30, 2019.
The district then passed a resolution supporting all district students regardless of their immigration status.

The district discussed re-integrating Mexican American Studies back into the district, but the board decided to pull the action item and bring it back the following meeting until a remedy comes forward.
