Tucson Police arrested 39-year-old Miguel Jimenez Resendiz for sexual assault and burglary Sunday.
According to TPD, officers responded to a report of an attempted sexual assault at a home located near E. 29th St. and S. Craycroft Rd. area. The suspect had already fled the scene when officers arrived.
Police say Resendiz sexually assaulted a woman staying at the home who had been sleeping on the couch. She was able to escape to a bedroom and call 9-1-1.
Officers began a search of nearby neighborhoods and were able to locate Resendiz shortly after.
He was arrested for Sexual Assault and 2nd Degree Burglary, both are class 3 felonies.
