Tucson Police have located the 11-year-old boy who has been missing since Monday afternoon.
According to Sgt. Bay with TPD, Alonzo Cruz was found staying with a relative.
Police say he is safe.
The Amphitheater Public Schools issued the following statement:
We are relieved that the missing student was found safe. Given the very unique circumstances of this matter, and the fact that there may still be issues under investigation, a comment at this time would not be appropriate.We thank the community for being alert and on the lookout for the student throughout the search and we appreciate the efforts of the Tucson Police Department and all the individuals who assisted in finding this student.We care very much about all of our students and their safety and we are thankful for a positive outcome.
