KGUN9's team congratulates Barrett Baker with the Tucson Fire Department on his new promotion to battalion chief.
Baker is coming up on 17 years of service with TFD.
"It was an honor and privilege to speak on behalf of an organization of almost 780 people that do great things day in and day out and you know its hard to walk away from that because I love being able to talk about what our department does to take care of Tucson," Baker said. "That being said, you are always looking for the next challenge and I am definitely excited to move forward to the next position."

Baker encourages people who want to be a firefighter to never stop being challenged, always look out for your co-workers and citizens you serve, and have no bad days.
