Scammers are targeting victims with threats of jail time and fines for ignoring jury duty.

According to the Pima County Superior Court, someone claiming to be with the court calls victims and asks victims to pay the fine with Green Dot prepaid debit cards.

The court will never contact a person by phone or email.

Those who don't report to jury duty will receive a notice card advising them to call to reschedule their date.

VIctims of the scam can file reports at pimasheriff.org or by calling 351-4900.
