Heading south of Tucson this week? Striping and maintenance work could slow your roll.
Several major roads to and from the Amado area are scheduled for maintenance this week. Improvements include traffic sign maintenance and roadway striping work to Arivaca and Ruby roads.
Crews will be working on these improvements from Monday starting at 6 a.m. to 2 p.m Thursday.
The roads affected are:
- Arivaca from I-19 Frontage Road to Arivaca town.
- Arivaca-Sasabe Road from Sasabe to Arivaca town.
- Ruby Road from Santa Cruz County to Arivaca town.
Traffic lanes and speed will be reduced. Traffic officials are advising drivers who use those roads to plan ahead
