Shooting at Grande and Alameda

Tucson Police responded to calls of a shooting that happened on Grande and Alameda just before 6 p.m. on Wednesday. 

Residents nearby called 9-1-1 and when officers arrived the persons involved in the shooting had fled the scene.

Officers were able to locate a man who was shot in the chest near the area. Officers began rendering first aid and the man was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. 

The second person who was shot showed up to the hospital after he was shot in the groin area. The person has non life-threatening injuries at this time. 

Sgt. Pete Dugan of TPD says the shooting stemmed from an altercation inside a vehicle. When the vehicle stopped, shots were fired.
