For 95 years, the Ortega family has run a business in downtown Douglas.
That tradition is about to come to a close.
Ortega's Sportsworld is holding a going out of business sale. This is the last of several businesses run by the Ortegas in Douglas for nearly a century.
Cecilia Ortega tells KGUN9 that Ortega's Sportsworld will remain open for a couple more weeks.
The family says the economy has never rebounded in Douglas. They also say big box stores and online shopping has hurt the business along G Avenue in Douglas.
