Tucson police have identified a man who died in a motorcycle collision Friday morning.
According to Sgt. Pete Dugan with TPD, the collision occurred in the 5300 block of East Valencia Road. Police identified the motorcycle rider as 63-year-old Michael Ray Fischella.
Detectives determined that Fischella struck a guardrail on the south side of the roadway while traveling eastbound.
He was transported to a nearby hospital and was pronounced dead shortly after arriving.
Speed does not appear to have been a factor, and Fischella was wearing a helmet.
