Man dead following shooting on SW side

Second incident appears to be related

TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - Deputies from the Pima County Sheriff's Department are investigating two shooting incidents that left one man dead and injured another.

Deputy Cody Gress, a spokesman for the department, says just after 8:30 p.m. on Sunday deputies responded to a residence in the 4300 block of West Valencia Road for the report of an unknown problem.

As deputies arrived, they found a deceased adult man with apparent gunshot wounds.

A half hour later deputies responded to a second unknown problem call at a residence in the 5000 block of West Tillery Street.

Responding deputies found a conscious adult man with apparent gunshot wounds. The man was immediately transported to the hospital for treatment.

Gress says the man's initial condition was listed as stable.

Detectives responded to both incidents and say it is believed that both incidents are related.

Gress says the investigation is still ongoing at this time.
