TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - For decades Super Minerals India has come to the Tucson Gem, Mineral, and Fossil Showcase, but now they seem to be settling down in the Old Pueblo.

One of the largest mineral dealers from India opened a permanent Tucson location for the first time this year. Instead of staying here for two weeks out of the year, the dealer will be in Tucson year-round.

"Initially we had multiple locations and set up for two weeks, but seeing the growth of the show and seeing the potential in the market, especially in the U.S. market, we decided to have our own building of 12,000 square feet," said Kulin Bandey, Vice President of U.S. operations.

Their building at 1243 N. Main Ave is technically one of the largest exhibits in the 2016 show.

They are open every day during the gem show, but for the rest of the year they will be open by appointment only. Bandey says they are discussing opening to the public for a few hours and days in the year, but has not yet decided.
