Group wants to make 'Clean Dream Act' law

TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - Today marks the end of Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) initiated by President Barack Obama on June 15, 2012.

Keep Tucson Together is inviting people to join the fight to make the CleanDream Act a law.

Attorney Margo Cowan will speak on how the community can make campaigns to get their message across to Congress.

The group says to end DACA would be a major national tragedy.

They also will be handing out cards that say "we urge you to vote yes to make dreamers lawful permanent residents with a path to citizenship".

They want people to fill them out and send to Senator John McCain.

Priscilla Casper is at the event and will have much more coming up on KGUN9 On Your Side at 10 p.m.
