A German inspired beer hall is coming to Tucson.

Ten 55 Brewing and Sausage House located at 110 East Congress Street will open their doors next August 11, 2018.

The brewery is located in a part of Downtown that has seen an increase in foot traffic in the past year. Co-owners John Paul Vyborny and Chris Squires say this has been a dream of theirs for five years.

The brewery will have community seating as well as a kitchen with 15 custom sausages and Sonoran hot dogs.

"Adapting for the Tucson market will be a German community style craft beer hall where you can sit down next to your neighbor - rub elbows, break bread over good conversation and good beer," says Vyborny.

Ten 55 Brewery is located just one block away from where business is thriving on Sixth and Congress. Squires says, in the past year things have changed for the area of Stone and Congress.

"Its a hard block in peoples minds to overcome to make the last block past your favorite places. The nice thing about the development shifting west is that we won't be on the outskirts anymore.

Dan Gibson with Visit Tucson says this shows the growth of Downtown.

"What's encouraging is that there are more places opening in spots that were recently vacant so when you have these great buildings with a lot of historical character turning into places that people want to go and that's good for the city as a whole."

Ten 55 Brewing is looking to hire more than 30 employees at 110 E Congress Street on July 26 from 12pm - 4pm and July 27 9am - 12pm.
