Free vaccines and microchips for your dog at the Tucson Expo Center

Pima Animal Care Center, the Humane Society of Arizona and the City of Tucson have joined forces to hold a free vaccine and microchipping event at the Tucson Expo Center Saturday from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m.

The "Love your Pup" event with service up to 500 dogs in the Pima County area in anticipation for the July 4 holiday when fireworks historically cause pets to become lost.

PACC will provide the free microchips and HSSA will offer up to 500 free Rabies vaccinations to protect dogs against this preventable but deadly disease.

By law, every dog who is three months and older and lives within the boundaries of cities, towns and unincorporated areas of Pima County for 30 days or longer requires a Rabies vaccination and an annual license.
