Desert View High School had 402 graduating seniors during Thursday night's ceremony.

Upon receiving their diplomas, the graduates noticed "Tuscon" was misspelled.

The school shared the following statement with Desert View parents.

We regret to inform you the diplomas provided by the vendor Jostens have a typo. The word Tucson was misspelled on the diplomas. We are disappointed in their error and we have requested Jostens immediately provide corrected diplomas. We have been assured that diplomas will be available for pick up beginning Thursday, June 1st in the front office.  We apologize for the inconvenience. Our students deserve the best and we assure you we have addressed the issue with Jostens.
According to Joe Grossi with Jostens of southern Arizona, new diplomas have already been shipped and will be arriving next week.

We regret the misspelling and accept for responsibility.  We are proud of the graduating class of 2017 at Desert view high school and wish them continued success.
