Amazon is searching for a city that can handle it's new headquarters, and it's gotten plenty of bribes before their Thursday bid deadline.

In Tucson, a 21 foot Saguaro was given to Amazon to spike their chances of getting chosen. But Amazon said nope. They donated it to the Arizona-Sonara Desert Museum saying "unfortunately we can't accept gifts, even really cool ones".

In Birmingham, Alabama, giant Amazon boxes were placed throughout the city. The mayor tweeted "WE WANT AMAZON".

In Chula Vista, CA the city made a giant book to show Amazon what makes the city ready for them.

New York City lit up landmarks in "Amazon orange" to make a bid.

Stonecrest, GA even offered to change the name of the city to Amazon.

And in Philadelphia, an "Amazon war room" spent the last 6 weeks dedicated to showing Amazon it's the city they want.

Amazon says it will make a decision in 2018. More than 50 cities across the U.S. will be on edge waiting for their announcement. The company promised 50,000 jobs and $5 billion in infrastructure investment.

The company also says it's looking for a tax-friendly climate for it's second headquarters.

Pennsylvania is offering Amazon $1 billion in tax breaks as part of their bid. But New Jersey is beating that, promising $7 billion in tax incentives.

Some cities refuse to give in. San Antonio bowed out of the competition, unwilling to offer massive tax breaks.
