PHOENIX (AP) - Arizona health officials say they've confirmed one new case of measles in Pinal County and it poses a risk to the public.

State Department of Health Services officials said Wednesday that the tally of confirmed new cases of measles now stands at 18 with all but one in Pinal County. The other case is in Maricopa County.

The department says the new case is tied to a private detention center in Eloy, like all the other Pinal County cases.

Health officials say potential exposure sites from the new measles case have been identified at stores, supermarkets, a bank and a theater in Eloy and Casa Grande from June 17-20.

The first two cases of the highly contagious virus were reported on May 26.
