The Bald Beauties Project helping teens with cancer
1:18 PM, Sep 7, 2017
Michael and Maya Luria tell us how The Bald Beauties Project was created to honor the wishes and legacy of their daughter, Kelsey, who lost her battle with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. Despite suffering through her own journey as a teen cancer patient, she found a way to use her experience to help other teens and children afflicted with cancer with the Bald Beauties Project. The project has three primary objectives: 1. Professional photo shoots for kids with cancer, 2. Teen Comfort Kits for newly diagnosed teens who are admitted to the hospital, 3. Provide research dollars for Acute Myeloid Leukemia. We can all help by attending BBP 3rd annual benefit dinner at Prep & Pastry. There will be a Bubbles & Bellini reception followed by a 4 course dinner featuring culinary creations from Prep’s sister restaurant Commoner & Co. The cost is $125 per person, $75 of which is tax deductible. There will also be a silent auction featuring some great items.
