How a stiff drink can save endangered elephants

African elephants are a keystone species, meaning other species within an ecosystem largely depend on them. Poaching poses a massive threat to their survival, as well as the delicate balance of the ecosystem. It is vital to take steps in their conservation.

In anticipation of World Elephant Day, Dr. Paula Kahumbu, the dynamic CEO of the non-profit organization, WildlifeDIRECT, briefs us on the status of the disappearing African elephant population and what her organization is trying to do to save them, specifically in partnership with Amarula, the award-winning South African cream liqueur.
