TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - Across the state, centennial celebrations marked 100 years since Arizona became the 48th state. Governor Jan Brewer kicked off the party from a stage in front of the domed old capitol in phoenix.
From festivals to plays, people throughout the state have planned events to celebrate the state's milestone birthday.
At KGUN 9 On Your Side, Guy Atchley joined Rex Allen Jr. in a tribute to our great state presenting a very special feature on the KGUN 9 On Your Side 10:00 PM News.
When talking about the feature, Guy said "Rex and I have something in common. We both love this state. He sings about it -- and I take pictures of it."
