TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - Tucson Police said a gunshot victim was found inside a burning home early Monday morning.
At approximately 12:50 a.m., Tucson firefighters were called to a house fire in the 200 block of east Elm Street. They found an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound outside the burning home. He was taken to an area hospital with potentially life-threatening injuries.
The Tucson Police Department's arson detectives were called after fire investigators determined the fire had been intentionally set. Detectives and investigators are now working together to determine the nature and cause of the fire, which appears to have started inside the house.
Detectives are also working to determine the connection between the gunshot victim and the fire.
Anyone with information should call 911 or 88-CRIME.
