An Evening With Mandy Barnett and Classic American Music
The Skin Cancer Institute at the University of Arizona Cancer Center presents An Evening With Mandy Barnett and Classic American Music to be held Nov. 1, at 8 p.m. at the historic Fox Tucson Theatre. This performance is the first benefit concert to be held in conjunction with the Skin Cancer Institute’s annual Melanoma Walk. Sponsored in part by the World Free From Cancer initiative, a portion of the proceeds from the concert will be donated to the fundraising goal for Melanoma Walk 2013 and will directly support melanoma research, community outreach, education and patient care in Arizona. World-class vocalist, Mandy Barnett’s style is rooted in classic country and pop sounds. She brings a keen interpretative sense to the classical songs resulting in a powerful performance through her full-bodied voice. Barnett got her big break portraying country music legend Patsy Cline in the stage show Always...Patsy Cline and appears on the Decca Records cast recording. Barnett has also released three solo albums to critical acclaim including I’ve Got A Right To Cry, Winter Wonderland, and her latest, Sweet Dreams.
