Chinese Lunar New Year 2013
Tucson Chinese Cultural Center Year of the Snake Celebration The Tucson Chinese Cultural Center is excited to celebrate Lunar New Year 2013, the most important holiday of the year for Chinese families. 2013 is the Year of the Snake, and is year 4711 on the Chinese calendar, the longest chronological record in human history. The Lunar New Year occurs on February 7th, and the Tucson Chinese Cultural Center has coordinated three events to mark the holiday: On Friday, February 15th and Saturday, February 16th, the Center will host the Year of the Snake Dinner, with a fun-filled evening of entertainment, a silent auction, and dinner by Harvest Moon restaurant of Oro Valley, all benefitting the Tucson Chinese Cultural Center. Admission is $150.00 per person, with $70.00 of the admission tax-deductible. Hors d’oeuvres and cocktails will be accompanied by live performances from 5:00PM to 6:30PM, with dinner and auctions to follow.
