Walk & Party in the Park for Victims of Pitbulls and other dangerous dogs.
A Tuscon woman and her support group have created an international event for victims of pitbulls and other dangerous dogs. Mellissa Barbalaco is a disabled woman who experienced a violent pitbull attack on her service dog. She met with other victims online and spearheaded an event to bring support group members together in the first gathering of pitbull attack victims. "Mellie" and the members of her support group have rented a park, hired onsite security and brought in two lives bands, and a food vendor along with several speakers on the issue of dangerous dogs. The group has also contributed to pay for the hotel expenses so Canadian victim Marie Helene Tokar can attend the event, and secured Tshirts for the event. We will start the party with a Walk to honor victims of pitbulls. Churches, and business groups are welcome to come out and support victims or sponsor a victim to come out to the event to help raise awareness and show support. "We will hold posters of victims that cannot attend due to the severity of their injuries, or due to the fact that they were killed by a pitbull. " DOGS ARE PROHIBITEDAT THE EVENT. https://www.facebook.com/Walkforvictimsofpbodd?ref=ts http://walkforvictimsofpitbulls.blogspot.com/
