WHEN: May 19 20 The Arizona Barbecue Festival is back for its third year with a new location, Salt River Fields. Bring your appetite for more mouthwatering barbeque than you've ever seen, from both competition teams and top vendors from around the state. On Saturday, May 19, over 60 BBQ teams will battle in chicken, pork, brisket, and ribs, offering $2 samples while vendors offer full plates and $2 samples of their fare. On Sunday, May 20th, the focus will be on a rib throwdown of epic proportions - try different rib recipes or grab a plate and hit the lawn for fun in the sun. This two-day festival offers entertainment for the whole family including live music, cooking demonstrations on the Sub-Zero/Wolf Demo Stage, a pie eating contest, a wing eating contest, a bartending competition, a kids zone, the whiskey expo tent with 100 types of whiskey, and a vendors market.
