Dragoon Daze

Dragoon Daze is local festival in the shadow of the beautiful Dragoon Mountains & consists of a group of booths where area people sell arts and crafts, an educational booth from the nearby Amerind Foundation (Native American Museum of Artifacts & Art work). There will also be live music, saloon girl dancers, the Tombstone Vigilantes will have a show, and other Cochise County locals dressed up in Western clothes with gunfights and quick-draw contests. Food is available as well. The festivities are from 9 AM to 4 PM. Down the road in Dragoon there will also be local galleries open for the day including a new gallery across from the post office showcasing their beautiful paintings and sculptures. At the Lozen Gallery near the railroad tracks, Native American artwork will be on display, handmade pottery as well as freshly prepared food from Dragoon Cafe ( featuring: Bleu Cheese Applewood Smoked Bacon Sirloin Burgers, Garlic-Lime Pulled Pork Sandwiches, Chicken Burritos w/ Green Chiles & Pecans, homemade Veggie Burgers, Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Bread & much more... To get there, take I-10 to exit 318, go easterly (right onto Dragoon Rd) to about three miles and turn left on Johnson road to 1871 North Johnson Road.
