A Tucson native and graduate of University of Arizona’s School of Journalism, Krystin is excited to follow her dreams and work in her hometown. She comes to KGUN9 after interning at ABC’s The Chew in New York City. Before that, she was a freelance writer with North Tucson Living Magazine and a contributing writer with The Tombstone Epitaph.

Krystin has participated is numerous pageant competitions and is the reigning Miss Southern Arizona USA. She was also Miss Planet Beach USA and runner-up for Miss Planet Beach International. Krystin is also a passionate animal advocate who’s worked at pet clinics for seven years and continues to volunteer each Fall at a spay and neuter clinic in Mexico.
Today, Krystin is eager to cover news that affects Southern Arizona. “I care about this community and the people who live here,” she says. “This is my home, my family’s home. I’m just honored to have this opportunity…and I’m committed to making the most of it.”
When not working, Krystin enjoys spending time with her family, her four cats and her fiancé, fellow journalist Som Lisaius. They love to travel, sample delicious foods together and root for their home teams. “I’m a Wildcat for life,” Krystin says. “And it feels so good to share my passion with so many dedicated U of A fans in Southern Arizona.”
