Simone Del Rosario
Simone comes to KGUN 9 On Your Side from, well, everywhere. Before making the trek to Tucson, she worked in India as a producer for RT in its South Asia bureau. She traveled the country covering stories on water issues, rural medicine, energy and economic growth.
Did you know?
Simone is our resident rodeo cowgirl. She spent most of her life on the back of a horse, and spent all of her high school and college years traveling from rodeo to rodeo with her horses and her dog, Roper.
Before that, she was a multimedia journalist in the nation’s capital and reported at both national conventions in 2012 with The Washington Post.
Simone received her master’s degree in journalism from Northwestern University in Chicago, studying broadcast and business reporting. She has bachelor’s degrees in journalism and Spanish from New Mexico State University. During college, she studied abroad in Costa Rica and Barcelona, Spain.
If you can't tell, Simone's guilty pleasure is traveling. She's visited more than 15 countries so far, but is looking forward to settling down in Tucson for a while and exploring Southern Arizona. She's also thrilled to be back in horse country.
