Justin Schecker joined KGUN 9 On Your Side as a Videojournalist in September 2012. You can see stories he reports, shoots and edits during weekday mornings on Good Morning Tucson.

Justin's other hobbies include fantasy football and classic rock music.
Justin developed his interest in news and current events while growing up in Silver Spring, Maryland, a suburb of Washington, D.C. He took his passion for reporting and storytelling to the Midwest where he graduated from the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University.
At Northwestern, Justin reported for and served as News Director of the award-winning campus news station, the Northwestern News Network. While still in school, he worked as a General Assignment Reporter at Lansing, Michigan’s CBS station, WLNS-TV6. In addition to news reporting, Justin announced and produced live online broadcasts of sporting events as part of the Big Ten Network's student initiative. He also had the opportunity to spend a summer interning in the NBC Washington (WRC-TV) newsroom.
Outside of the KGUN 9 newsroom, Justin is a passionate sports fan. While he’s excited to call Tucson home, he will always be an enthusiastic Northwestern Wildcat football and basketball fan.
