Jennifer Waddell

Jennifer is a Virginia native but has called Tucson home since 2005.   After earning her degree from Virginia Tech with a double-major in Broadcast Communications and Political Science,  Jennifer worked in Roanoke, Virginia for seven years then headed west to Tucson.  

Jennifer's passion for reporting centers on people and helping solve community problems.  That passion has earned her two Edward R. Murrow Awards.  The first was for a report on mothers in prison and the second was for breaking news coverage of the 2010 helicopter crash in midtown Tucson.  Jennif'er's work has also been recognized by the Arizona Associated Press Broadcasters Association and she won the 2007 Arizona School Board Association Media Award for excellence in Public Education Reporting.  Jennifer was honored to be named one of Tucson's "40 Under 40" for her work on and off the job.

Working as a journalist is a not only a job, but a responsibility.  Jennifer is involved in many volunteer groups to give back to the community.  She lives in Tucson with her husband, two children and two dogs.
