A U of A professor named in the so-called "climate-gate scandal" says bring it on. Dr. Malcolm Hughes says he has nothing to hide. Hughes was recently contacted by Oklahoma Senator James Inhofe. The Senator asked him not to destroy any records he has that could connect him to a global-warming controversy. The controversy is over hundreds of e-mails, stolen by hackers, that raise questions about the integrity of scientists involved in the research. Hughes admits he received some of the messages, but says there's nothing controversial about them. In one of the e-mails, a professor from England wrote that he used a "trick" to "hide the decline" in global temperatures. Hughes and several other scientists say the word "trick" is often used by researchers to describe a good method for solving a problem.
