The Pima County Sheriff's Department placed a restriction on Mt Lemmon Highway as a result of snow and ice conditions on the roadway.
As of Sunday at 5p.m. the Sheriff's Department is requiring chains and/or 4x4 vehicles above milepost 0.
The U.S. Forest Service closed all forest service roads in the Santa Catalina Mountains including the Ski Valley to Mt Lemmon Observatory.
The area remains in a winter storm advisory from the National Weather Service through tommorow.
