Tucson Police Department Adult Sexual Assault Detectives have arrested a 20 year-old male in connection with an attempted sexual assault.
On November 15, 2009 at approximately 10:07 a.m., officers from Operation Division East responded to 215 S. Craycroft regarding a report of an attempted sexual assault.
Upon arrival, officers learned that an employee of St. Joseph’s church was locking up the facility when she was attacked from behind.
The suspect brutally attacked the victim, causing injuries that required treatment at a local area hospital.
The attack appears to be sexually motivated.
Detectives from the Adult Sexual Assault Unit responded to continue the investigation.
They were able to develop information which led to the identity and location of the suspect.
On November 16, 2009, detectives arrested the 20 year-old male at his residence.
He was booked into Pima County Jail and charged with Aggravated Assault, Attempted Sexual Assault, Kidnapping, and Robbery.
