Tucson Powerball Ticket Worth $200,000

PHOENIX, AZ – Even though the Powerball jackpot continues to grow after no tickets matched Saturday’s winning numbers, a ticket purchased at a Tucson grocery store matched all five white ball numbers to earn the second prize of $200,000.  As of 11 a.m. Monday, the ticket still had not been claimed.

The retailer that sold the second-prize ticket is the Safeway at 7110 N. Oracle Road in Tucson. The winning ticket was the only one in the state to win the second prize by matching all five white ball numbers — and one of just three tickets in the country to win the second prize. Saturday’s winning numbers were 7, 32, 37, 46, 50 and the Powerball was 26.

“The Arizona Lottery is thrilled to have a second-prize winner from Arizona,” said Jeff Hatch-Miller, executive director for the Arizona Lottery. “I encourage everyone who purchased their Powerball ticket for Saturday’s drawing at that particular Safeway in Tucson to check their numbers, because they may hold a $200,000 prize.”

Because the Powerball was not hit on Saturday, the jackpot grows to an estimated $96 million for Wednesday’s drawing.

Powerball is played in 30 states, the District of Columbia and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

Players can also check their numbers by logging onto arizonalottery.com or by calling the winning numbers hotlines at 480-829-PICK in Phoenix and 1-800-499-3798 in all other Arizona areas.
