PHOENIX (AP) - Authorities say a light-rail train and a minivan collided in Phoenix and left five people injured, including two who were hospitalized.
Fire official say passengers in the minivan had to be extricated from the vehicle after the train hit the driver-side door and spun the van around at Central Avenue and Indian School Road about 3 p.m. Thursday.
An adult male and female in the van were hospitalized and listed in stable condition, while three passengers from the light rail were treated with minor injuries.
The van received significant damage, but the train received minor damage, officials said.
