Tucson Police detectives and the bomb squad investigated a suspicious package in a Rita Ranch neighborhood.

Officer Charles Ridzack with Tucson Police says that units responded to the scene before 5p.m. when a resident in the 7600 block of South Sugarberry noticed a suspicious package with wires by her home.

Officers evacuated some homes in the area, just after 6p.m. officials left the scene and stated the device was a battery charging unit.
