Tucson Police responded to the 4400 block of E. 18th St. in reference to a man who attempted to run over his wife with a truck.

The female was walking home from a nearby school when her husband struck her with his truck.

The suspect fled the scene in the truck after striking his wife.

The suspect has been apprehended, but his identity is being withheld at this time.

The female did suffer injuries and was transported to a local area hospital.
