LAS VEGAS (AP) - State, county and municipal courts and offices, schools, colleges and libraries will be closed Friday to mark Nevada Day. That means government offices in Laughlin across from Bullhead City will be closed.
Federal courts and offices will be open, and U.S. mail will be delivered.
The holiday marks Nevada's entry into the United States as the 36th state on Oct. 31, 1864.
Officials say trash pickup will be on a regular schedule, and Southwest Gas and NV Energy offices will be open.
